DB2 Monitoring & Management
DB2 is IBM's enterprise database product. It is supported across a vast number of operating systems, and is capable of running multi-terabyte databases with maximum performance and scalability.
HQ uses DB2's native client interface to obtain highly granular measurements for the database engine, each instance, as well as individual tables. This capability is delivered by HQ across all platforms which DB2 runs on, including AIX, Linux, and Windows and allows you to obtain management capabilities previously only accessible to DBA tools in a solution you can use to manage the resources that your DB2 infrastructure depends on.
Hyperic HQ aims to provide DB2 users the management capabilities typically found in database centric tools coupled with management support for the other technologies which, along with databases, are used in today's enterprise environment.
Its powerful application concept allows you to visualize monitoring data from your database tier alongside your business logic and presentation tiers by giving you the ability to measure how client activity is reflected across the various layers of your application infrastructure.
