Hyperic HQ

AIX is IBM's UNIX-based Operating System. It is used extensively in highly reliable multiprocessor machines and is designed for massive scalability. Hyperic HQ's SIGAR technology provides complete access to hardware and operating system level monitoring on AIX. Each AIX machine is first inventoried with discreet detection of every CPU, Filesystem, and Network Interface configured on the host. HQ can then measure the CPU activity of each individual CPU, complete memory utilization, local and remote filesystem statistics, as well as network activity on each interface.
Additionally, HQ can monitor individual processes on the machine for any system level services using SIGAR's Process Table Query Language technology which allows a user to easily define criteria which uniquely identifies a process which should be monitored for availability, memory, and CPU consumption.
