Hyperic Joins Vyatta Ready Partner Program and Expands Open-Source Networking Ecosystem
Open-Source Management Partner to Maximize Performance and Reliability of Vyatta-Based Networks
SAN MATEO, Calif. – June 26, 2007 – Vyatta, the leader in Linux-based networking, today announced that Hyperic, the leader in multi-platform, Open Source systems management, has joined the Vyatta ReadyTM partner program. As a first step in this partnership, Hyperic has developed a custom Vyatta plug-in for its flagship Hyperic HQ software. This plug-in allows Vyatta customers to easily monitor and manage performance of their open-source networking solution across multiple applications and environments.
Vyatta combines router, firewall, and VPN capability in an integrated, reliable, and commercially supported software solution, delivering twice the performance of proprietary network solutions at a fraction of the price. The new Hyperic HQ plug-in instantly enables network managers using Vyatta to take full advantage of Hyperic's powerful management capabilities, including auto-discovery, monitoring, complex alerting, and remediation. The new plug-in also monitors the health and performance of both physical and virtual Vyatta instances within the network, and can be rapidly integrated into new and existing networks for real-time monitoring and management.
